The Clinton Health Access Initiative (CHAI) is supporting the strengthening of medical oxygen ecosystems, including the improvement of medical oxygen availability and supply systems in Eastern Africa through support of Unitaid. The East Africa Program on Oxygen Access (EAPOA) aims to improve access to medical oxygen in low- and middle-income countries (LMICs) across East Africa. The initiative seeks to bolster the capacity of local manufacturers to meet the growing demand for medical oxygen.
CHAI intends to use part of the investment from Unitaid to cover for Installation of a medical liquid oxygen (LOX) telemetry system to provide real-time, remote monitoring of bulk cryogenic tank levels, pressures, and temperatures to ensure continuous supply, improving safety, and optimizing delivery schedules of Liquid medical oxygen to healthcare facilities.
CHAI invites financial proposals (RFP) from Companies and Contractors capable of Installing, Testing, and Commissioning of Medical Liquid Oxygen remote monitoring telemetry system in Tanzania at the following facilities. The remote monitoring system and the VIE tanks shall be supplied by others and the Scope of this RFP is limited to installation and commissioning for the telemetry system only.
