Overview
The Clinton Health Access Initiative, Inc. (CHAI), as a sub-grantee of FHI360 under the USAID-funded Meeting Targets and Maintaining Epidemic Control (EpiC) project, is facilitating increased capacity to utilize medical oxygen in Tanzania. EpiC supports the Ministry of Health (MoH) in Tanzania to scale up access to medical liquid oxygen (mLOX) across public health facilities in both mainland Tanzania and Zanzibar.
CHAI invites interested and capable vendors to submit bids for the supply, delivery, and transfer of mLOX to bulk storage tanks installed at six (6) hospitals:
– Mainland: Muhimbili National Hospital (Upanga), Muhimbili Orthopedic Institute, Mwananyamala Regional Referral Hospital, and Temeke Regional Referral Hospital
– Zanzibar: Abdalla Mzee Referral Hospital and Kivunge District Hospital
Initial contract will cover 6 refills at each site. Delivery timelines may vary per facility. Technical specifications are detailed in Annex B. Suppliers must also review CHAI’s Code of Conduct and Ethics for Suppliers (Annex C).
Request for Suppliers
CHAI seeks bids from qualified vendors for mLOX delivery to all six health facilities. While demand estimates are preliminary and indicative, bidders are encouraged to propose variable pricing models based on volume levels.
Submissions
Vendors must download, complete, and include Annex A and B in their submission. All suppliers must also adhere to CHAI’s Code of Conduct (Annex C).

Bid Submission: Submit your full bid to chaitzprocurement@clintonhealthaccess.org by June 3, 2025 (12:00 midnight EAT) with the subject line: ITB/CHAITZ/mLOX/002.

Late submissions will not be considered. CHAI reserves the right to request further documentation or site visits.
