The Clinton Health Access Initiative (CHAI) with funding from Embassy of Ireland in Mozambique invites interested and capable vendors to submit bids for the supply and installation of two (2) Medical waste integrated autoclaves with shredder for the Hospital Central de Nampula (HCN) and the Matola Provincial Hospital (HPM).
Technical processing capacity of the autoclave with integrated shredder:
Estimated generation of waste per hospital size
HCN:
- Capacity: 695 beds
- Estimated daily hospital waste: 2070 kg/day
- Estimated weekly hospital waste: 62100 kg/month
- Infectious waste (20%): 12450 kg/month
HPM:
- Capacity: 450 beds
- Estimated daily hospital waste: 1125 kg/day
- Estimated weekly hospital waste: 33750 kg/month
- Infectious waste (20%): 6750 kg/month
The bidder shall present their equipment brand, including technical information in their proposal, provided they can meet the above-described requirements.
The bidder is free to request a visit to the beneficiary hospitals to gather any additional information deemed necessary for the preparation of the proposal. (Visits must be duly authorized by the Ministry of Health, and any costs incurred will not be reimbursed).
Documentation to accompany the financial proposal:
- Cover letter (company proposal)
- Business license/registration, government gazette and tax identification number- or equivalent documents
- Tax clearance certificate (issued by tax authority)
- Technical catalogue of the proposed equipment (including certification by competent entity)
- Preventive maintenance proposal (for a period of 3 years)
- Training package for equipment users on handling and maintenance
Note: The contractual terms will be negotiated after the award. Should an agreement not be reached, CHAI reserves the right to contract the second-highest ranked bidder in this tender. The award may be granted either individually by site or jointly for both sites.
