CHAI and partners announce agreement to help save mothers’ lives

An agreement announced today will reduce the achievable cost per use of the non-pneumatic anti-shock garment (NASG) by over 75 percent and expand access to this innovative new product, which has been shown to safely and effectively reduce mortality due to post-partum hemorrhage, a leading cause of the nearly 290,000 maternal deaths reported annually around the world.

Landmark HIV Diagnostic Access Program Will Save US$150M

Roche today announced a major Global Access Program to sharply lower the price of HIV viral load tests in low- and middle-income countries. This new initiative creates a ceiling price of US$9.40 per test, and will reduce Roche’s average price by more than 40 percent in low- and middle-income countries.
