Please tell us a bit about your background and what brought you to CHAI.

Having spent over eight years leading full‑cycle recruitment across Africa, the Middle East, and Southeast Asia, I’ve developed a deep appreciation for the talent strategies needed in resource‑constrained settings

My career has been dedicated to identifying diverse, talented individuals that go on to drive sustainable development outcomes. I joined CHAI because its mission to expand equitable access to essential medicines, vaccinations, and health innovations in Africa and other low- and middle-income countries resonates deeply with my belief that strategic talent acquisition is key to achieving lasting global health impact.

1. What’s the best thing about your job?

For me, the most rewarding part of working in talent acquisition is helping to build teams that truly make a difference. Every successful hire not only strengthens CHAI’s ability to deliver on its mission but also brings us one step closer to improving lives in communities across Africa and other low- and middle-income countries. It’s incredibly fulfilling to see talented individuals grow in their roles and know that their work is creating meaningful, lasting impact. That sense of purpose is what makes this work so special.

2. When do you feel the most inspired by your work?

I feel most inspired when I see a candidate I’ve connected to their ideal role not only flourishing within our teams but also reflecting on how much they enjoyed the recruitment journey. Knowing that my work empowers talented individuals to drive CHAI’s mission —and that the process itself was a positive experience—gives me a deep sense of purpose and fulfillment.

3. What is your favorite aspect about your career?

What I love most about my career is the opportunity to continually learn and discover the many dynamic facets of our organization through the people I meet. Each interaction offers a new perspective—whether it’s understanding a team’s unique goals or the specific challenges they’re working to solve. Guiding talented individuals toward roles where they can thrive, not only helps them grow but it also deepens my appreciation for the incredible work happening across CHAI every day. It’s this constant exchange of insight and purpose that keeps me inspired.

4. In your experience, what skills are the most crucial for succeeding at CHAI?

From my perspective, the most crucial skills for thriving at CHAI are strong analytical thinking, exceptional organizational ability, and effective stakeholder management. Our work is fast-paced and often complex, so being able to distill information, stay structured, and build trusted relationships across diverse teams and partners is essential.

5. What is a motto you live by?

Don’t just aspire to make a living, aspire to make a difference.

6. What are three words that best describe you?

Curious, Connector, Catalyst
